Department, regarding South Africa dangerously tilting towards &#8216;failed state territory&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p><p>In this interview Dr Makhubela unpacks the RiskRecon research on how signs of state failure are apparent in the South African systemic context &#8211; particularly at local government level.<\/p><p>Additionally he indicates that the RiskRecon research into events of July 2021, when insurrectionist inspired looting brought the country to a standstill, combined with weaknesses at local government level, \u00a0should at this stage have red lights flashing at the deck of anyone
